Rising Stars: A True & Critical Understanding of Truly Developing your Rising Stars.

Writer: Randy SwaimRandy Swaim

For this simple blog, I will offer one example from my family, and I will also offer a key quote for an expert and will share insights on why it is important.  First, let me share one aspect of my family.  I will point out that this focus is about my Great Granddaughter who is 14 years old, and she is in her first year of High School.  It also relates to her younger brother who is 11 years old.  I will tell you that it is amazing how she is growing up and who she is becoming.  She has had several challenges in her life, but she has truly gotten past them and kept growing and becoming.  Her development process and who she is becoming is awesome.

A True & Critical Understanding of Truly Developing your Rising Stars.
Rising Stars: Follow On Insight of Successful Interaction With Our Rising Stars and WHY.

Let me offer a key quote from a knowledgeable professional because in many ways, it represents what I am saying and highlights how she could overcome, develop and truly become.  The quote comes from Dr. Josh Axe:

“Our focus is on our To Do List…. but very critical and must also be on our

TO BE List!” – Dr. Josh Axe

Key Leadership & Neuroscience Truth and Application:

Historically, so often parents simply tell the Rising Stars what to do and how to do it and what to think.  If you do that you are acting dysfunctional are shutting off their brains and not letting them prepare for their future.

One of the things we have done with my great grandkids is that we get them thinking and it is having some amazing results for them.  We do not just simply tell them what to do or superficially dictate but we get them thinking and often they come up with what is truly successful.  If they are not sure, we can make a rule until they learn and catch their true vision.

Realize that as parents and such, we do not want to simply dictate and shut off their mental processing and their Neuroscience Growth.  Realizing that as they grow, the development is based on their Neuroscience mental Processing and Decision Making.  It is not just about what a parent told them to do.  You don’t want to shut off their real mental processing.

You may recall that in my autobiography I pointed out the following:

“The leaders with whom I learned the most and developed in myself was awesome, but I did not gain it from anything anyone said…but rather through what I observed and experienced with them!”

This is a picture of what I am describing here.

My great grandkids have learned very much from observing and experiencing how I and their parents modelled this critical success, and they are growing with it for sure.

You may remember that in my last Rising Stars blog, I mentioned that True Defining Moments are generally Neuroscience aligned with their Visions, Dreams and Professional Passion so they should individually have clarity on those.  It is through this and being focused on TO BE that their vision of their future and dreams can be achieved.  My great granddaughter, at 14 years old, has clarity and knows what she wants to become and what she seeks to accomplish in her professional life.

When you truly interact with your Rising Stars in a way where you are not just controlling them but modelling true leadership and development in a way in which they really are Truly Becoming and Truly Developing for their Future.  Again, focus NOT just on To Do but focus on TO BE because it is not just what they want to do, but if they have true clarity on what they seek as TO BE…. they have clarity on who they truly are wanting to become?

So let me ask a couple of questions for the reader to consider:

  1. How do you need to focus your involvement with their growth on TO BE?

  2. What must you do differently to truly develop your involvement, so you model TO BE and make it so they want to follow you and become?

  3. What must you change to truly model and inspire their growth and leadership development…and not relative to your view but their truthful successful dreams and vision?

Finally, realize how you truly adapt your vision and application so that their mental processing and awareness of TO BE will be truly developed and prepared for future leadership and success in their journey when you are not there anymore?
